This is a design that feels very Vancouver to me. The rain coupled with crows always makes me think of my hometown. That there could be anthropomorphic crows standing vigil in that rain, soggy sentinels enduring the downpour, is an idea that tickles something in my mind. A possibility of fleshing out, maybe. Characters in an alternate Vancouver.

"The piece captures a moody, atmospheric scene teeming with intrigue and emotion. It vividly portrays an urban setting engulfed in a torrential downpour. At the heart of this evocative tableau is a large, crow-like bird perched stoically on a wall, exuding a sense of quiet strength and mystique. Complementing this somber figure, a smaller crow dangles precariously from a wire or string, suspended in mid-air as if frozen in a moment of uncertainty or tension.
The background is richly detailed with elements of city infrastructure, such as electrical wires and poles, which contribute to the scene's urban authenticity. The rain, meticulously depicted, cascades around the birds, adding layers of mood and texture to the composition. Amidst this gloomy, desaturated palette, a radiant red traffic light stands out, drawing the viewer’s eye and providing a compelling contrast. This burst of color not only anchors the visual storytelling but also enhances the overall somber and mysterious vibe of the artwork.
The inspiration behind this piece is the contemplation of urban solitude and the beauty found in overlooked, rainy moments."
